I appreciate the sentiment of this, but I don’t agree with putting this kind of undue pressure on oneself for being human. We all make mistakes. One mistake undoes 20 years of “hard work”? That seems quite unfair of us to do to ourselves. Thanks for posting.
No, it cannot undo years of hard work, I agree. While doing a job we should be deprived of the self-doubt.
But maybe he wants to tell us to be careful while pursuing our goals and performing or deeds as sometimes carelessness creep in if we are too defiant to admit that we can commit a mistake.
Maybe he wants to tell us to at least consider the possibility that our carelessness cannot just cost us this mere attempt but can also jeopardise our reputation.
See you are totally right but in this human world people may not remember the thousand thing you did right but just one thing you did wrong. This is how it is!
